She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1950. On March 24, 1953, Ellen married David Wendell Jones in Lamar, Missouri. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.Ellen was an active member of the Dawn Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and was a member of the WMU group for many years, Ellen was active as a 4-H leader and loved to sew, garden and cook. She distinguished herself as a lifelong farm wife, helping operate and manage all facets of the farm.
